Our Favorite Light Fixtures that Make a Statement at Any Price
Who doesn’t love a good statement light fixture? A single light fixture can be a focal point and conversation starter for any room or the perfect finishing touch in a well-designed space.
If you’re shopping for lighting, it can be hard to know where to start since there are so many options out there. We’ve put together our favorite lighting brands at all price points. No matter your style or budget we’re here to help!

Lumens
Lumens is an online retailer that carries a range of brands we love to use for our projects. Since they carry such a wide variety they’re a great starting point if you're browsing for lighting on a budget.
A brand we love to specify that Lumens features is Hudson Valley. They offer mid-range prices with a variety of styles from Farmhouse Modern to Mid Century Modern. Look no further if you want something that looks sleek, sophisticated and expensive but without the shocking price tag.

Lettie Flushmount - Bruckner Wall Sconce - Austen Chandelier
If you’re looking for a flush mount for a smaller area, that is simple and classic yet has a modern twist- we love the Lettie Flushmount light. It comes in a few different sizes and finishes, starting at $348. The sleek slopped frame with opaque bowl-shaped shade provides a minimal and classic look.
Another stylish option is the Bruckner Wall Sconce, starting at $276. We love this one in aged brass finish, and think it would look striking in any bathroom setting: mounted on the side walls of a powder bath or above a double sink vanity for a primary bathroom.
For a bold dining or living room statement light, we are loving the Austen Chandelier, starting at $1990. My favorite feature that isn’t captured so well in the online photos (but stunning in person) are the alabaster discs that line the perimeter of the frame, adding reflective backdrop for the incandescent bulbs.
Lumens also features Kelly by Kelly Wearstler which is Kelly Wearstler's more budget-friendly, diffused line. Spoiler alert! Cedar & Moss is another great resource for excellent quality, minimalist and modern light fixtures. They are all handmade to order out of Oregon. Many of their pieces are customizable and the lead time is about 3-6 weeks depending on the item selected.

We love the ultra-sleek Fjord Compass chandelier, which comes in a range of finishes and sizes, starting at $459. We installed this piece in a matte black as an entry fixture for our Crestview project. It’s perfect for the size of the space and compliments the rest of the finish accents and decor.
We installed both the Alto Rod and Terra Surface pieces in the kitchen of our North Hampton project. These pieces start at $249 and $239 respectively, and come in a range of finishes and sizes. The globe pendant lights in a matte black and brass were a great feature as a pair over the kitchen island and the sleek, flush mount fixture in black glaze contrasts nicely with the paint and backsplash tile color, looking great over the sink.

Another versatile Cedar and Moss piece we can’t get enough of is the Amélie Sconce starting at $269. It comes in a range of finishes and sizes and is great for a bedside table lighting, for an office, or living area. We also installed these lights as a pair in the living room of our North Hampton project in a brass finish, which contrasted beautifully against the black painted shiplap accent wall.

Serena & Lilly is an online retailer that features pieces with a coastal casual aesthetic, yet are modern and refined. Right now, we’re loving their rattan and capiz shell fixtures.
Headlands Bell Pendant
Capriz Flushmount
Rattan is on trend right now, and we’re not talking about your grandmother’s rattan porch set. You can find rattan everywhere within furniture to decorative accents. We love the texture and warmth rattan brings to a room and this Headlands Bell Pendant is a great feature light fixture for the kitchen, dining area, bedrooms or outdoor living spaces. It comes in a couple of sizes and colors, starting at $298.

Capiz Honeycomb Chandelier
Here I installed a large Rattan Weave Chandelier made by West Elm at $299 and it added beautiful warmth and texture to the space to my N. Hampton project.
Capiz shell lights offer a traditional, classic look with a modern touch. Some of our favorites at Serena & Lilly are the Capiz Honeycomb Chandelier and the Capiz Flushmount light, starting at $348 and $498 respectively. Both pieces come in different sizes and add great texture and dimension to any space.

We love the gorgeous Cristol Tiered Pendant light with antique rubbed brass accents. We installed this piece in our Lakeway project. It gave the space an instant upgrade and a luxury vibe. Along with all the other furnishings and decor, it really tied the room together with the soft, bright and feminine direction we aimed to achieve. This piece is priced at $1,999.
Turenne Chandelier

The Turenne Chandelier is a stunning mid-century modern piece, priced at $1,699. Its sculptural quality makes it a bold statement, perfect for a dining or living area. We have it planned for one of our projects, to be installed later this Summer - stay tuned!
Thomas Obrien is another Visual Comfort high-end brand that we can’t get enough of. His pieces walk the line between traditional and modern in the most striking way.
The Goodman Medium Pendant is such a classic look, that we will be installing in antique brass for a project later this Summer. This light fixture starts at $999. It’s a stunning statement piece to hang a few over a kitchen island or on its own in a breakfast nook.
